In the 13th century, the name Pset is lost and the name Krupa appears for the first time, which has more meanings. The favorite legend of the people of Krupa is that Krupa was named after a girl named Krupana, who was building a fortress and threw herself into the river Una due to unrequited love. Medieval Krupa was the most important place in central Pounje, on the border of empires, which left its mark on the cultural and historical heritage, which was mostly destroyed by stormy wars and rebuilt again.
